Our mission
Sports should be
for every kid.
CourtQuest is a student-led nonprofit growing youth sports in our community. We started with pickleball because it brings people together fast — but the vision reaches further. Every tournament, sponsorship, and equipment donation helps another young athlete get on the court to play, learn, and compete.
Our first tournament raised $1,200 for the community — including support for the Herndon Community Center scholarship program, so local kids can play who otherwise couldn’t. And we’re just getting started.

Just the people who show up before the first serve and stay past the last point: the organizers who plan the day, the referees who call every rally, and the desk crew who keep every score. None of it is paid, and all of it is theirs.

Everything you need to know before you play, referee, or watch.
Do I need an account to play?
No. You can register for a tournament as a guest — just your name and contact info. Creating a free account is optional, but it lets you track your matches, see your ranking, and join future tournaments faster.
How do I pay the entry fee?
It depends on the tournament. Some accept online payment through Zeffy, some collect cash at check-in, and some allow both — the registration page always shows which applies. Free tournaments confirm your spot immediately.
How does the tournament format work?
Most events run a qualification stage where every team plays a set number of games against different opponents, then the top eight teams advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket. Qualification games play to 11, and playoff games are win-by-two.
Can I referee or volunteer?
Yes. When you sign up, you can opt in to volunteer as a referee. To officiate a specific tournament, a manager shares that event’s referee code with confirmed volunteers, which unlocks the scoring console for that event.
Where does the money go?
CourtQuest is a student-led nonprofit. Entry fees and donations go back into the community — funding local causes and keeping tournaments accessible. You can also support us directly on the Donate page.
Can I watch a tournament I’m not playing in?
Yes. Every public tournament has a live view with real-time scores, current matches, and what’s up next on each court — no account needed. Look for the “Watch live” button on an in-progress tournament.
